Meet the Leadership Team- Autumn Lawson

Our next Leadership team introduction is Autumn Lawson. Autumn is our Events Chair and was re-elected to another term on the board of directors. We are so happy to have her back on the board and taking charge when it comes to event planning!

Question 1- Where are you from?

I am from Rose Valley, SK and currently live in Saskatoon while attending the U of S.

Question 2- What do you do?

I am pursuing a degree in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science. I will be working this summer for the Ministry of Agriculture at the Moose Jaw Regional Office.

Question 3- Why did you join Women in Ag?

I joined WIA because I wanted to learn more about leadership in agriculture and gain a network of industry contacts. I continue to be involved because I believe the work that WIA is doing is important to furthering women in leadership in Saskatchewan agriculture. My role on the events committee has allowed me to craft events that give women hard skills and also a feeling of empowerment.

Question 4- What do you do in your spare time? OR A Fun Fact about yourself OR Your Favourite Made in Canada product.

I don’t have a lot of spare time but when I do, I enjoy going to spin class, reading, checking cows, and just generally helping on the ranch. I also love to travel and recently was able to go to Texas!
