<image:caption>I was born and raised in the city and lived in Los Angeles and Vancouver working and studying as an actor. When in Vancouver, I received a phone call asking me to be a bridesmaid for an old high school acquaintance. At this wedding I met my farmer. I moved to Saskatchewan for a summer to “try out” farming. I loved it and my farmer, we were married the following year. It was very important to me that if I was going to be part of a farming operation I needed to learn and understand all aspects of the business. I am an equal partner in our operation in everything from operating all machinery, purchasing land, machinery and inputs, crop rotation, budgeting, HR, business direction and planning. I am very proud of what we have built and all we have accomplished. Farming is big business and I believe that women play a vital role in farming operations. It is a path less travelled and there are challenges but if you can develop relationships that are supportive and encouraging you can thrive.</image:caption>

Since joining Viterra at the age of 18, I have spent the past four years building a successful career as a grain buyer. As a grain buyer, I manage relationships with farmers, stay updated on market trends, and play a vital role in managing logistics and grain quality to meet the needs of both producers and end customers. Growing up in Saskatchewan, I developed an early interest in farming and the importance of grain production. With the Covid 19 pandemic, I began my career shortly after graduating high school. I soon found my place in the industry with Viterra, a leading agribusiness company. In my free time, I enjoy working with my horses, exploring the outdoors and coaching figure skating throughout the winter. I am committed to continuing my growth within the agriculture sector and look forward to many more years in the industry!</image:caption>

<image:caption>My name is Mackenzie Wishloff I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, a wife, a devoted active farmer, business-partner, volunteer, business owner and Mentor. My passion for agriculture started at a young age being raised with cattle & little grain acres; years later falling in love with my soul mate and moving to the farm to which then I fell in love with the art of grain farming. I knew then that was the career I needed and strived for and put all my soul and passion into and make me the best at it; while providing a future for our children that has great impact. My husband and I have been farming together for the last 7 years building our foundation from the ground up. Going through every obstacle and learning curve there but building resistance and adaptability everyday. Which agriculture does tend to throw at us. After my first baby I dedicated precious time to my 2-year diploma in environmental and conservation sciences to deepen my understanding of all sustainable practices. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge through hard work courses, certificates, conferences. In hopes of making our farm, life and agri-business the most successful it can be. I am a positive dedicated, hardworking, passionate, outgoing; professional and hold myself, my leadership and mentorship responsibilities very dearly. I am honoured and humbled to be here and look forward to every opportunity and conversation in the future.</image:caption>
