The number of female operators is increasing, as is the number of female ag professionals. But a gap exists between what women do and how they see their place in the industry.
That’s because our experience is shaped by the conversations and connections in our ecosystem: whether we feel our contribution is recognized, whether we feel supported, and the quality of our relationships with family, other farmers, and service providers.
We are here to give women the opportunity to see how important their role in Saskatchewan agriculture truly is.
Women In Ag is for anyone who is:
Uncomfortable walking into an unfamiliar industry room
Uncertain about how to ask for a raise
Less likely to put themselves forward for management roles
Not confident enough to run for board positions
A critical person on the farm but who does not consider themselves a farmer
We believe women can do extraordinary things when given the opportunity to connect with and support each other.
From primary producers to ag professionals, women and men from all corners of the industry are invited to participate in supporting women and agriculture.
